Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Saptamrut Loh (Bh.Rtn.) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation mentioned in Bhaishajya Ratnavali. It is primarily used for anemia, general weakness, low immunity, and digestive disorders. The medicine helps improve hemoglobin levels, enhance appetite, strengthen the body, and balance aggravated Pitta and Vata doshas. It also supports overall vitality and rejuvenation.
Method of Preparation :
Prepared as per Bhaishajya Ratnavali guidelines using purified iron (Loh Bhasma) and selected herbs. The ingredients are carefully processed, blended, and converted into tablet form following traditional Ayurvedic methods.
Dosage :
1–2 tablets, once or twice daily with honey, lukewarm water, or as directed by the physician.
Indications :
- Anemia (Pandu Roga)
- General weakness and fatigue
- Low immunity
- Loss of appetite and indigestion
- Pitta-Vata imbalance
Side Effects :
Should be taken only under medical supervision, as it contains mineral ingredients. Overdose may cause gastric irritation, constipation, or other complications.
Contra Indications :
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Pregnant and lactating women should avoid unless advised by an Ayurvedic doctor.
– Patients with severe kidney or liver disorders should consult an Ayurvedic doctor before use.
