Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Samshamani Vati (R.T.S.-1), also known as Guduchi Ghana Vati, is a classical Ayurvedic formulation widely used as an antipyretic and immunity booster. It is highly effective in managing chronic fever (Jirna Jwara), malaria, and recurrent infections. The medicine helps balance all three doshas, especially Pitta, purifies the blood, enhances digestion, and strengthens the immune system.
Method of Preparation :
Prepared as per Ras Tantra Sara guidelines using the aqueous extract of Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia). The extract is dried and compressed into tablet form following traditional Ayurvedic methods.
Dosage :
1–2 tablets, once or twice daily with lukewarm water, or as directed by the physician.
Indications :
- Chronic fever (Jirna Jwara)
- Malaria and intermittent fevers
- Loss of appetite and indigestion during fever
- Weak immunity and recurrent infections
- Pitta-related disorders
Side Effects :
Generally safe when taken under medical supervision. Overdose may cause mild gastric irritation in sensitive individuals.
Contra Indications :
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Pregnant and lactating women should consult an Ayurvedic doctor before use.
– Patients with severe gastrointestinal disorders should take caution and use under supervision.
