About Punarnavadi Kadha (Kwath):
Punarnavadi (Kwath) Kadha is a classical Ayurvedic medicine prepared by decoction method. It is beneficial in liver disorders and hepatitis. It possesses potent anti-inflammatory properties and supports the health of the liver and musculoskeletal system.
Ayurvedic Properties:
- Balances Kapha & Vata Dosha

- Detoxifier and mild diuretic
Indications / Benefits:
- Hepatitis (A, B, C) and other liver disorders
- Jaundice and Fatty Liver Disease
- Liver cirrhosis and Polycystic liver disease
- Edema and Ascites
- Loss of appetite and anemia
- Uremia
- Cough, bronchitis, and breathing troubles
- Gouty arthritis and elevated uric acid levels
Dosage & Administration:
- Infants (up to 12 months): 1 – 2.5 ml
- Children: 2.5 – 10 ml
- Adults: 10 – 20 ml
- Geriatric (above 60 years): 10 – 20 ml
- Maximum Dosage: 60 ml/day (divided doses)
- Take twice daily with equal amount of water
- Best Time: Before food or on empty stomach
Safety & Precautions:
- Take only in the prescribed dose and duration.
- Consult an Ayurvedic physician if pregnant, lactating, diabetic, or on other medication.
- May increase urinary frequency due to mild diuretic action.
- Keep out of reach of children.
