Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage

Mahasudarshanghan Vati (R.T.S.-1) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation widely used as an antipyretic and immunity booster. It is highly effective in managing acute and chronic fevers, especially intermittent and malarial fevers. The medicine helps balance all three doshas, improves digestion, detoxifies the body, and strengthens the immune system to prevent recurrent infections.

Method of Preparation :

Prepared as per Ras Tantra Sara guidelines using the decoction or extract of Mahasudarshan Churna (which contains more than 40 herbs including Kiratatikta, Triphala, Musta, Haridra, and others). The decoction is processed, concentrated, and compressed into tablet form following traditional Ayurvedic methods.

Dosage :

1–2 tablets, once or twice daily with lukewarm water, or as directed by the physician.

Indications :

• Acute and chronic fever (Jirna Jwara)
• Intermittent and malarial fever
• Loss of appetite and indigestion during fever
• Weak immunity and recurrent infections
• Detoxification and blood purification

Side Effects :

Generally safe when taken under medical supervision. Overdose may cause mild gastric irritation or loose motions in some individuals due to its bitter herbs.

Contra Indications :
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Pregnant and lactating women should avoid unless prescribed by an Ayurvedic doctor.
– Patients with severe gastrointestinal disorders should take caution and use under supervision.
