Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Mahasudarshan Churna (R.T.S.-1) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation primarily used for fever, digestive disorders, and detoxification. It is highly effective in managing recurrent fever, indigestion, acidity, vomiting, and Pitta-Kapha imbalance. The medicine works by improving digestive fire (Agni), eliminating toxins (Ama) from the body, balancing doshas, and supporting immunity and overall health.
Method of Preparation :
Prepared as per Ras Tantra Sara guidelines using a combination of herbs like Chirayata, Guduchi, Neem, Haritaki, Amalaki, Bibhitaki, and other supportive ingredients. The herbs are carefully processed, powdered, blended, and sieved to obtain a fine churna while preserving their therapeutic properties.
Dosage :
3–5 grams, once or twice daily with lukewarm water, honey, or as directed by the physician.
Indications :
- Fever, including recurrent and intermittent types
- Indigestion, acidity, and nausea
- Pitta-Kapha imbalance
- Detoxification and cleansing of the body
- Loss of appetite and general weakness after illness
Side Effects :
Generally safe when taken under medical supervision. Overdose may cause mild gastric irritation, diarrhea, or nausea in sensitive individuals.
Contra Indications :
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Pregnant and lactating women should use only under medical advice.
– Patients with chronic diarrhea, severe gastrointestinal disorders, or kidney problems should consult an Ayurvedic doctor before use.
– Should be taken with caution in case of low immunity or severe weakness.
