Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Laksha Guggul (Bh.Rtn.) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation primarily used for bone and joint health. It is highly effective in managing arthritis, joint pain, fractures, inflammation, and Vata-Kapha disorders. The medicine works by strengthening bones and joints, reducing inflammation, improving mobility, and promoting overall musculoskeletal wellness.
Method of Preparation :
Prepared as per Bhavprakash Nighantu guidelines using Guggul (Commiphora mukul) along with Laksha (Lac resin), Triphala (Amalaki, Haritaki, Bibhitaki), and other supportive herbs. The ingredients are carefully processed, blended, and formed into guggul tablets while retaining their therapeutic potency.
Dosage :
1–2 tablets, once or twice daily with lukewarm water, milk, or as directed by the physician.
Indications :
- Arthritis, osteoarthritis, and joint pain
- Fractures and bone weakness
- Inflammation and stiffness in joints
- Vata-Kapha dosha imbalance affecting musculoskeletal system
- Support for overall bone and joint health
Side Effects :
Generally safe when taken under medical supervision. Overdose may cause mild gastric irritation, nausea, or diarrhea in sensitive individuals.
Contra Indications :
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Pregnant and lactating women should consult an Ayurvedic doctor before use.
– Patients with severe liver, kidney, or gastrointestinal disorders should use cautiously.
– Should be avoided in aggravated Pitta conditions without medical supervision.
