About Bhunimbadi (Kwath) Kadha:
Bhunimbadi (Kwath) Kadha is a well-known classical Ayurvedic medicine in liquid form, widely used for fever and related disorders. It is especially popular in northern India and is used in Ayurveda for the treatment of fever, associated diarrhoea, cough, cold, asthma, bleeding disorders, pika, grahani, liver complaints, bloating, gas, and gaseous distension of the abdomen.
Ayurvedic Properties:
- Balances Vata and Pitta Doshas
- Supports immunity during fever
- Improves digestion and reduces bloating
- Detoxifies the system
Indications / Benefits:
- Fever and febrile conditions
- Diarrhoea and digestive disorders
- Cough, cold, and asthma
- Bleeding disorders
- Pika and grahani
- Liver complaints
- Bloating and gas
Dosage & Administration:
- 12–24 ml, before food, preferably at about 6 am and 6 pm
- Add equal amount of water to the Kwath/Kadha before consumption
- Take a little honey afterward to enhance effect and mask bitter taste
- Or as directed by an Ayurvedic physician
Pathya (Dietary Advice):
Light and easily digestible food is recommended. Avoid heavy, oily, spicy foods, and excessive physical exertion during treatment.

- Take only in the prescribed dose and duration.
- Self-medication is discouraged; use under medical supervision.
- Pregnant and lactating women, diabetic patients, and children should consult an Ayurvedic physician before use.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
