Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Bakuchi (Bavchi)ghan Vati (A.Bh.) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation widely used in skin and pigment-related disorders. It is highly effective in managing conditions like leucoderma (vitiligo), psoriasis, eczema, itching, and other chronic skin diseases. The medicine helps in skin rejuvenation, supports natural skin pigmentation, purifies the blood, and balances Pitta and Kapha doshas.
Method of Preparation :
Prepared as per Ayurvedic guidelines using Bakuchi (Psoralea corylifolia) seed extract in concentrated form. The extract is processed, dried, and compressed into tablet form while retaining its therapeutic potency.
Dosage :
1–2 tablets, once or twice daily with lukewarm water, cow’s urine, or as directed by the physician.

- Leucoderma (Shwitra/Vitiligo)
- Psoriasis and eczema
- Chronic skin diseases
- Itching and rashes
- Blood purification and skin rejuvenation
Side Effects :
Should be taken only under medical supervision. Overdose may cause skin sensitivity, nausea, or gastric irritation. Direct sunlight exposure after intake may sometimes cause skin reactions in sensitive individuals.
Contra Indications :
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Pregnant and lactating women should avoid.
– Patients with liver disorders should use cautiously under medical advice.
– Avoid excessive sunlight exposure during treatment.
