Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage

Abha Guggul (Bh.Rtn.) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation well known for its bone and joint health benefits. It is primarily used to strengthen bones, support fracture healing, and reduce inflammation and pain in musculoskeletal disorders. The formulation promotes calcium absorption, improves bone density, and helps in conditions like arthritis, osteoporosis, and delayed fracture union.

Method of Preparation :

Prepared as per Bhaishajya Ratnavali (Bh.Rtn.) references using purified Guggul (Commiphora mukul) and Abha (Abhraka Bhasma) along with other supporting ingredients. These are processed traditionally and converted into tablet form for easy administration.

Dosage :

1–2 tablets, once or twice daily with lukewarm water, milk, or as directed by the physician.

Indications :

• Bone fractures (supports quick healing)
• Osteoporosis and low bone density
• Arthritis, joint pain, and stiffness
• Back pain and spondylitis
• Calcium deficiency-related disorders
• General debility with weak bones

Side Effects :

Generally safe when taken under medical supervision. Overdosage may cause gastric irritation or constipation in some individuals.

– Avoid during pregnancy and lactation unless prescribed.
– Not suitable for children without medical advice.
