Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Vatvidwans Ras (Bh.Rtn.) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation mentioned in Bhaishajya Ratnavali. It is primarily used in the management of Vata-related disorders such as colic pain, bloating, abdominal cramps, and indigestion. This medicine helps pacify aggravated Vata dosha, improves digestion, relieves pain, and supports healthy gastrointestinal functions.
Method of Preparation :
Prepared as per Bhaishajya Ratnavali guidelines by processing purified minerals and selected herbs. The ingredients are finely powdered, blended with herbal decoctions, and converted into tablet form using traditional methods.
Dosage :
1 tablet, once or twice daily with warm water, buttermilk, or as directed by the physician.

- Vata disorders
- Colicky abdominal pain
- Indigestion and flatulence
- Loss of appetite
- Bloating and constipation
Side Effects :
Should be taken only under strict medical supervision, as it contains mineral ingredients. Overdose may cause gastric irritation or metal toxicity.
Contra Indications :
– Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Patients with kidney or liver disorders should use with caution under an Ayurvedic doctor’s supervision.
