Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Trayodashang Guggul (Bh.Rtn.) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation widely used for neurological, musculoskeletal, and joint health. It is highly effective in managing sciatica, paralysis, arthritis, joint pain, stiffness, and Vata disorders. The medicine works by balancing Vata dosha, improving nerve function, reducing inflammation, and strengthening bones, muscles, and joints.
Method of Preparation :
Prepared as per Bhavprakash Nighantu guidelines using Guggul (Commiphora mukul) along with 13 key herbs such as Ashwagandha, Shatavari, Rasna, Gokshura, Guduchi, Haritaki, Amalaki, Bibhitaki, and other supportive ingredients. The herbs and guggul are carefully processed, blended, and formed into guggul tablets while preserving their therapeutic properties.
Dosage :
1–2 tablets, once or twice daily with lukewarm water, milk, or as directed by the physician.
Indications :
- Sciatica and lower back pain
- Paralysis and nervous system disorders
- Arthritis, joint pain, and stiffness
- Musculoskeletal weakness and degeneration
- Vata dosha imbalance
Side Effects :
Generally safe when taken under medical supervision. Overdose may cause mild gastric irritation, nausea, or diarrhea in sensitive individuals.
Contra Indications :
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Pregnant and lactating women should consult an Ayurvedic doctor before use.
– Patients with severe liver, kidney, or gastrointestinal disorders should use cautiously.
– Should be avoided in aggravated Pitta conditions without medical supervision.
