Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Pushpadhanva Ras (Bh.Rtn.) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation mentioned in Bhaishajya Ratnavali. It is primarily used in fever, digestive disorders, and respiratory ailments. The medicine helps reduce fever, improve digestion, relieve cough and cold, and strengthen overall immunity. It balances aggravated Pitta and Kapha doshas and supports general vitality.
Method of Preparation :
Prepared as per Bhaishajya Ratnavali guidelines using purified minerals and selected herbs. The ingredients are carefully processed, blended, and converted into tablet form following traditional Ayurvedic methods.
Dosage :
1 tablet, once or twice daily with honey, ghee, or as directed by the physician.
Indications :
- Acute and chronic fever (Jvara)
- Cough and cold
- Loss of appetite and indigestion
- Weakness due to chronic illness
- Pitta-Kapha imbalance
Side Effects :
Should be taken only under medical supervision, as it contains mineral ingredients. Overdose may cause gastric irritation or other complications.
Contra Indications :
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Pregnant and lactating women should avoid.
– Patients with severe kidney or liver disorders should consult an Ayurvedic doctor before use.
