Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Avipattikar Tablet (A.Bh.) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation mentioned in the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India.
It is primarily used as a natural antacid and digestive remedy. The formulation helps balance excess pitta dosha, reduces acidity, relieves indigestion, and supports healthy bowel movements.
Method of Preparation :
Avipattikar Tablet is prepared using a traditional mixture of herbs and natural ingredients such as Trikatu (Pippali, Maricha, Shunthi), Trivrut, Musta, Haritaki, Amalaki, Bibhitaki, Vidanga, Ela, Lavanga, Patra, Sugar, and others.
The powders are blended in precise proportions as per Ayurvedic standards, then processed and compressed into tablet form for ease of use.
Dosage :
1 to 2 tablets, once or twice a day, preferably after meals with warm water, or as directed by the physician.
Indications :
- Acidity and hyperacidity
- Heartburn and gastritis
- Indigestion and bloating
- Constipation due to pitta imbalance
- Urinary burning sensation
Side Effects :
Generally safe when taken in prescribed dosage. Overdose may cause loose stools or abdominal discomfort.
Contra Indication :
– Should be taken cautiously in patients with diarrhea or loose motions.
– Pregnant and lactating women should take only under medical supervision.
