Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Aamala Churna (A.Bh.) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation made from Amla (Emblica officinalis), a rich source of Vitamin C and natural antioxidants. It is highly effective in boosting immunity, improving digestion, enhancing skin and hair health, reducing acidity, and rejuvenating the body. The medicine works by balancing all three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), promoting vitality, and supporting overall health and longevity.
Method of Preparation :
Prepared as per Ayurvedic Bhavprakash guidelines by drying fresh Amla fruits, powdering them, and sieving to obtain a fine churna while retaining its natural nutrients.
Dosage :
3–5 grams, once or twice daily with lukewarm water, honey, or as directed by the physician.
Indications :
- Low immunity and recurrent infections
- Acidity and indigestion
- Hair fall, premature greying, and weak hair roots
- Skin problems and premature ageing
- General weakness and fatigue
Side Effects :
Generally safe when taken under medical supervision. Overdose may cause loose motions or abdominal discomfort in sensitive individuals.
Contra Indications :
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Should be taken with caution in individuals with cold and cough tendency (Kapha imbalance).
– Pregnant and lactating women should consult an Ayurvedic doctor before use.
– Patients with chronic diarrhea or dysentery should avoid excessive use.
