Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Medohar Guggul (R.T.S.-2) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation primarily used for weight management, metabolism support, and lipid regulation. It helps reduce excess body fat, improves digestion, detoxifies the body, and balances Kapha and Vata doshas. The formulation is effective in obesity, hyperlipidemia, metabolic disorders, and related joint or muscular strain.
Method of Preparation :
Prepared as per Ras Tarangini (R.T.S.-2) guidelines using purified Guggul (Commiphora mukul) along with Triphala (Amalaki, Haritaki, Bibhitaki), Trikatu (Shunthi, Maricha, Pippali), Gokshura, and other supportive herbs. Ingredients are carefully processed, blended, and formed into guggul tablets while preserving therapeutic efficacy.
Dosage :
1–2 tablets, once or twice daily with lukewarm water, milk, or as directed by the physician. Best taken before meals for optimal effect.

- Obesity and excess fat accumulation
- High cholesterol and hyperlipidemia
- Metabolic disorders and sluggish digestion
- Joint and muscular strain due to overweight
- Kapha-Vata dosha imbalance
- Detoxification and weight management support
Side Effects :
Generally safe when taken under medical supervision. Overdose may cause mild gastric irritation, loose stools, or nausea in sensitive individuals.
Contra Indications :
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Pregnant and lactating women should consult an Ayurvedic doctor before use.
– Patients with severe liver, kidney, or gastrointestinal disorders should use cautiously.
– Should be avoided in aggravated Pitta conditions without medical supervision.
