Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Madhuyashthyadi Vati (R.T.S.-1) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation mainly used in respiratory and throat-related disorders. It is highly effective in conditions like cough, cold, hoarseness of voice, sore throat, bronchitis, and asthma. The medicine soothes the respiratory tract, reduces inflammation, clears excess phlegm, and strengthens lung function. It balances aggravated Kapha and Vata doshas while promoting smooth breathing and vocal clarity.
Method of Preparation :
Prepared as per Ras Tantra Sara guidelines using Madhuyashti (Licorice) along with other supportive herbs and purified mineral ingredients. The ingredients are carefully processed, blended, and converted into tablet form following traditional Ayurvedic methods.
Dosage :
1?2 tablets, once or twice daily with honey, ginger juice, or lukewarm water, or as directed by the physician.
Indications :
- Cough and cold
- Sore throat and hoarseness of voice
- Bronchitis and asthma
- Kapha-related respiratory disorders
- Inflammation and irritation in throat
Side Effects :
Generally safe when taken under medical supervision. Overdose may cause mild gastric irritation or complications in sensitive individuals.
Contra Indications :
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Pregnant and lactating women should avoid unless prescribed by an Ayurvedic doctor.
– Patients with hypertension or kidney disorders should use cautiously, as Licorice may increase sodium retention.
– Patients with severe liver disorders should consult an Ayurvedic doctor before use.
