Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage

Shankh Vati (R.T.S.-1) is a classical Ayurvedic formulation primarily used in digestive and gastric disorders. It is highly effective in treating indigestion, loss of appetite, acidity, abdominal pain, and flatulence. The medicine helps balance aggravated Vata and Kapha doshas, stimulates digestive fire (Agni), reduces bloating, and supports proper absorption of nutrients.

Method of Preparation :

Prepared as per Ras Tantra Sara guidelines using purified Shankha (conch shell) along with selected herbs and minerals. The ingredients are carefully processed, blended, and converted into tablet form following traditional Ayurvedic methods.

Dosage :

1–2 tablets, once or twice daily with lukewarm water, buttermilk, or as directed by the physician.

Indications :

• Loss of appetite and indigestion
• Acidity and hyperacidity
• Abdominal pain and bloating
• Gas and flatulence
• Vata-Kapha imbalance in the digestive system

Side Effects :

Generally safe when taken under medical supervision. Overdose may cause gastric irritation or complications in sensitive individuals.

Contra Indications :
– Not suitable for children without prescription.
– Pregnant and lactating women should avoid unless advised by an Ayurvedic doctor.
– Patients with severe kidney or liver disorders should consult an Ayurvedic doctor before use.
