Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage
Erandbhrushtaharitaki Tablet (A.Bh.) is a classical Ayurvedic medicine mentioned in the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India.
It is primarily used as a mild, safe, and effective natural laxative. The formulation balances Vata dosha, relieves constipation, and supports healthy digestion and bowel movements.
Method of Preparation :
The main ingredient Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) is processed (bhavana) in Eranda Taila (castor oil) until well roasted.
The processed Haritaki is then powdered and compressed into tablets as per Ayurvedic standards.
Dosage :
1 to 2 tablets at bedtime with warm water or milk, or as directed by the physician.
Indications :
- Constipation
- Hard stools and irregular bowel movements
- Abdominal bloating
- Digestive disturbances due to Vata imbalance
Side Effects :
Generally safe when taken in the prescribed dosage. Overdose may cause abdominal cramps, loose motions, or dehydration.
Contra Indication :
– Should be avoided in diarrhea or dysentery.
– Pregnant women should take only under medical supervision.
